PhysError app for iPhone and iPad
Developer: Ship Shape
First release : 28 Oct 2014
App size: 10.56 Mb
PhysError is great for propagating error through a physics calculation.
Input measurements with number, uncertainty, and units. Type in a formula to get a result.
You can store multiple projects, each with values and formulas. Values can have multiple measurements, which formulas can combine with the corresponding measurements of other values.
For example, measure distance and time in multiple trials of an experiment. When you create a formula distance/time, PhysError will calculate the velocity of each trial along with average velocity, and automatically keep track of error and units.
PhysError was created for use in Yale course 205L. It uses the partial derivative method to propagate error.
